July 21, 2022 (New Delhi): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to a Delhi hospital on Wednesday night after he complained about stomach pain. He is currently undergoing treatment at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in the national capital’s Sarita Vihar locality. He has been diagnosed with a stomach infection. This incident came to light days after he drank a glassful of water directly from Kali Bein, a holy rivulet in Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Delhi’s Indraprastha Apollo Hospital with a stomachache late on Tuesday. This indicates two set of rules for AAP Chief, Kejriwal who earlier claimed Delhi Government Hospitals to be world class and to the contrary, Punjab CM got admitted in a private hospital. This is a clear contrast on Kejriwal’s sayings and action.
The government had released Mann’s pictures drinking a glassful from the Bein. Its video too had gone viral. The government statement had said that the CM planted a sapling on the banks of Bein and also drank water from the rivulet. Meanwhile, around 8 pm on Wednesday, he was rushed to the hos[pital. On July 7, Punjab CM Mann tied the knot with Gurpreet Kaur, in a very traditional Sikh ‘Anand Karaj’ wedding ceremony.
Earlier in the day, the Punjab CM had congratulated the state police and the anti-gangster task force for successfully executing an operation against two gangsters in the state who were allegedly involved in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Gangsters Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh, alias Mannu Kusa, were killed in an encounter with the Punjab Police at Amritsar’s Bhakna village, police said. After an almost five-hour-long encounter with the Punjab Police, the alleged killers of Moosewala got killed. In a statement issued here, Mann said the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government has launched a decisive war against gangsters and anti-social elements in the state.
