Kamalrani Varun, Minister of Technical Education in the Yogi Adityanath government, died on Sunday. She was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi PGI, Lucknow due to the global epidemic coronavirus infection. The death has been confirmed by SGPGI’s CMS doctor Amit Aggarwal. CM Yogi Adityanath has postponed his visit to Ayodhya and Barabanki today after the information on the death of Minister Kamalrani Varun.
CMS Dr. Amit Aggarwal informed that Technical Education Minister Kamalrani Varun had got severe COVID-19 pneumonia. Because of this, she went into acute respiratory distress syndrome.
The doctors tried their best to save her, but she could not be saved. Other prescribed drugs, including the prescribed Remedisvir for Corona, were being given to her continuously but she didn’t recovered.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted, “The information about the untimely demise of my colleague in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Cabinet Minister Smt Kamal Rani Varunji, is disturbing. The state lost a devoted public leader today. My condolences to her family. God grant the departed soul a place at your Shri feet. ॐ Shanti!”
Minister Kamalrani already had problems related to diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid. Her oxygen level was significantly reduced. However, her health remained stable in the initial 10 days, but suddenly the situation started deteriorating for the last three days. She was put on large ventilator support after the condition worsened at around 6:00 pm on Saturday evening.
So far, six ministers of the state government have been corona infected. Ministers who have been coronated include Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh, Village Development Minister Rajendra Pratap Singh alias Moti Singh, Home Guards Minister Chetan Chauhan, AYUSH Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dharam Singh Saini, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Welfare (Independent Charge) Upendra Tiwari And Thakur Raghuraj Singh, chairman of the Labor Construction and Consultative Committee, has been found to be corona positive.
