Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti arrived in the capital on Friday evening and is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday to discuss dangerous situation in the Kashmir Valley. According to sources close to Government of Srinagar and Delhi confirmed that Ms Mufti would be meeting PM Modi at his official 7 Race Course Road, the time is not fixed yet. The Kashmir Valley has been embroiled in violent unrest triggered by the July 8 killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani. The clashes have left 70 people dead and crippled life in the Valley.
According to media reports, PM Modi, though talked about Kashmir Unrest in his Independence Day speech, but reality is till this day PM hasn’t talked about the issue with CM Mufti, and this meeting is very important for both parties. This comes two days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s trip to Kashmir.
