Allahabad HC Reunite interfaith couple, Says “the woman has right to live in her own terms.”

Prayagraj, UP: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday has ruled in favor of an interfaith couple by mentioning that, “the woman has right to live her life in her own terms” with her husband.

FIR lodged by the girl’s father against the boy for abducting and forcing her for marriage has been dismissed by the high court.

After that, tge woman decided to the court along with her husband at a two member bench which observed that a woman has the choice to live life on her own terms. The two member bench consisted of Justices Pankaj Naqvi and Vivek Agarwal who passed their order.

The High Court also ordered the Etah Police protection to the married couple. The husband has filed thr habeas corpus petition.

The Etah CJM Court has earlier sent the woman to Child Welfare Committee and also sent her to her parents against her will.

Later, the Allahabad High Court termed this as an “inappropriate” move.
