Coronavirus has left the whole world in a cliffhanger until it ends. People’s only ray of sunshine is a vaccine to end this pandemic but unfortunately no as such vaccine has been introduced yet to kill this virus once and for all. Recently Patanjali launched its coronavirus tablet – “coronil tablet” and claimed a 100% effect after its consumption. But Patanjali has taken a u-turn in its decision and said “no as such medicine has been made” which left many of its supporters in denial and disappointment. What will happen to all those who were ardently supporting Baba Ramdev now that he himself has backed out?
On Tuesday (June 30th, 2020), Patanjali gave clarification on medication alleging cure for coronavirus stating that it never claimed it had created any such medicine. Patanjali also denied making any medication called ‘Corona kit’ to explain the notice given by the Uttrakhand Drug Department.
Patanjali said, ‘’That it is denied, we have made any medicine named as “Corona Kit”. We have only packed the following medicines ‘Divya Swasari Vati’, ‘Divya Coronil Tablet’ & ‘Divya Anu Tail’ in a shipping/packaging carton for shipping purposes. Further, we have not commercially sold any kit named as ‘Coronil Kit’ nor we have publicized it against the treatment of Corona (COVID-19), instead of that we have only promoted the successful trial of the medicine before media.’’
Here’s what CEO of Patanjali, Acharya Balkrishna has to about the controversy:
Patanjali also said in the statement written to the drug department that it only shared on people about the benefits of the medication and its positive study, and never said that it could cure coronavirus.
