Shocking!! These Players Didn’t Makeup In Any Team As Owner Wanted To Pay In Rs 500 And Rs 1000 Notes.

After six months long drama where the men in blue defeated West Indies, New Zealand, England and Bangladesh in the longer format, now the focus shifts towards to T20 cricket before India gears up for another thrilling Test series against Australia. Today, around 352 cricketers from all across the world will go under Richard Madley’s hammer at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Bengaluru. Just one day before the auction, we got shocking news of MS Dhoni’s sacking from captaincy and Mitchell Starc pulled out from the 10th season of Indian Premier League. As the owners started bidding today, major twist and turns are seen.

The major shocker came when the players like Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and S Badrinath remain unsold. While talking to News Leak Centre, the source sitting in action revealed the demonetization the real reason for the players to not get into any of the team. The source said “Demonetisation is the reason for Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma Cheteshwar Pujara and S Badrinath to not be able to play this installment of the IPL” The source further added “The team owner has to get rid off those remaining Rs500 and Rs1000 notes he had, as the owner forgot to exchange the banned notes within the time period. So, he planned to get rid-off the notes by paying the fees of the named players in the banned notes”

There are players who got the expected amount they wanted. Players like Kagiso Rabada, a South African pacer, who sold for Rs 5cr and New Zealand cricket team Vice-captain, Ben Stokes, sold for Rs 14.5 crores. Sources close to the players revealed the miscommunication between the owner and the auctioneer. The source revealed, “Team owner misheard the auction value and hit the baton.” Adding to it further, he says “The owner tried convincing the auctioneer, but the damage was done. Nothing can be done now.”

In the case of Ben Stokes, the owner didn’t give up because of being pressurised by his wife, the source revealed “The team which now owns Ben Stokes for the IPL 2017 bought the player under the pressure of his wife. As there was much demand for the player, the owner’s wife didn’t want to lose with the other woman present in the room” The source added “Still, it’s a fair price of Ben Stokes, as the Tamil Nadu MLA’s were rumoured to be bought at Rs 20 crores”
