Behind some these India’s most famous personalities lie some of the most unusual early career move. We all know the story of Khiladi Aksay Kumar from the kitchen of a restraint to one of the highest paid stars in Bollywood. We all know how Nawazuddin Siddiqui survived through the toughest times to become one of the most critically approved actors. But here we bring you the list of some more famous personalities who did some different jobs before they got into limelight!
1. Rajkumar Hirani in an ad for Fevicol
Long before Rajkumar Hirani became one the most successful directors the Indian film industry has ever seen, he was showing his acting chops while selling a popular brand of adhesive. We must say the director did a mighty good job. Maybe that’s why Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani are inseparable. Yeh Fevicol ka jod hai!
2. Vidhu Vinod Chopra in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra is equally famous for his directorial prowess as well as his temper.
The man is known to lose his temper at the drop of a hat. Thus, it’s very difficult to visualize him doing comedy. And yet, that’s exactly what he’d done.
That too in one of the most iconic scenes in movie history. Playing the role of Dushasana in the iconic Mahabharata scene in the cult classic ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ the director/producer showed his acting skills to the hilt. Even though he had a tiny role, he held his own against screen legends like Naseeruddin Shah. The man can really act.
3. Ahmed Khan in Mr. India.
Even though he grew up to become one of the most respected choreographers in Bollywood, Ahmed Khan too had begun as a child actor. The ace choreographer had made his acting debut in the 1987 cult-classic Mr. India. He’d played the role of one of Anil Kapoor’s orphans.
4. HRD Minister Smriti Irani
Okay, so most of us know Smriti Irani as the HRD minister or as the pure and sacrificing Tulsi. But very few of us know, that once upon a time, Miss Irani was shaking a leg with singer Mika in his music video! And that too as one of the backup dancers.
5. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
Born and brought up in Delhi, the SRCC alumnus did not have it easy always. There was a time when he used to work as a tea boy in the sets and generally be yelled at by everyone. Before starting off as a director, he was also working as a vacuum cleaner salesman. It was in 1986 when he set up his own advertising firm that he stuck his foot through the doors of Bollywood.
6. R. Madhavan
Did you know R Madhavan used to conduct workshops on public speaking before becoming an actor?
7. Boman Irani
He worked as a waiter, room service staff and even an assistant in his mother’s bakery before becoming one of the busiest actors in Bollywood today.
