OMG!!! Indian Navy’s Scorpene submarine class to be commissioned today

The submarine has been built by Mumbai based Magzone Dock shipbuilders Ltd in collaboration of M/S group naval group of France. Read the full story to know more about it:

The Indian Navy will commission,INS vela it’s fourth scorpene class under project 75,today that will boost it’s capability .The project 75 includes the construction of six submarines of scorpene design.

Three of these submarines-Kalveri ,Khanderi and Karanj already been commissioned.
“The Indian Navy’s fourth stealth Scorpene class submarine ,INS Vela is geared up to get commissioned on 25th November 2021,” navy said in a statement.

The submarine has been built by Magazone Dock Shipbuilders Ltd in collaboration with M/s Naval Group of France.
The previous avatar of INS Vela was commissioned on August 31,1973 and rendered yeoman service to the nation for 37 eventful years before bieng decommissioned on June 25,2010. The new ‘Vela is apotent man ò war and is capable of offensive operations that spent across maritime warfare, the statement said.
The induction of submarine consolidates the Indian Navy’s position as builder’s Navy significantly and adds sharpness and strength to its combat capability, the statement added.

On Sunday, Indian Navy’s stealth guided missile destroyer Vishakhapatnam was commissioned in Mumbai. The indigenously – built warship is packed with an array of missiles and anti-submarine of rockets.
