A person from Kota has expressed his desire to donate an amount of Rs.1100 million from his taxable income for the welfare of the martyred soldiers in the Pulwama attack. This horrific attack took place on 14th February in which India took down F16 aircraft of Pakistan. Murtaza A. Hamid who expressed this wish is blind from birth. At present, he lives in Mumbai and wishes to meet his idol, Narendra Modi.

Hamid, 44, who is blind since birth, has completed his graduation in commerce from Government Commerce College, Kota, Rajasthan. He is currently working as a researcher in Mumbai.

Speaking about his donation, Hamid said that the inspiration to help should be in one’s blood in every citizen of the country. Hamid said he has made a scientific innovation that could check on incidents like the Pulwama attack. The researcher said he has innovated ‘Fuel Burn Radiation Technology’ which helps in tracing or locating any vehicle or object without GPS, camera or any other technical equipment.

Hamid said he had forwarded the proposal to hand it over free of cost to the government and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in 2016. However, the initial approval for his innovation came two years later, in 2018. Hamid, although a commerce graduate, began being actively involved in science, technology and research.

A fire incident at a Jaipur petrol pump in 2010 piqued him to study the cause of fuel catching fire due to mobile phone signal. This interest gave way to innovate ‘Fuel Barn Radiation’, said Hamid.
