The prices of domestic gas cylinders have increased once again today. Oil companies increased the price of domestic gas cylinders by Rs 25 on September 1. In this way, now for one cylinder, we will have to pay 891 rupees in Bhopal. The prices of domestic gas cylinders have more than doubled in the last year.

If compared to the last seven years, the price of the domestic gas cylinder has more than doubled. On March 1, 2014, the price of the domestic gas cylinder was around Rs 410, which has now increased to Rs 891 (in Bhopal) in seven years. After the increase today, the price of domestic gas cylinders in Kolkata and Chennai has crossed Rs 900.

Now the displeasure is visible over the more than double increase in the price of a domestic gas cylinder in seven years. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has targeted PM Modi over the prices of gas cylinders.

On September 1, petrol companies have increased the prices of commercial cylinders along with domestic gas cylinders. The price of a commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 75. The increase in gas cylinders for domestic and commercial cylinders will be applicable from today. In the last 15 days, the domestic gas cylinder has become costlier by Rs 50. Earlier on August 17, the price of the domestic gas cylinder was increased by Rs 25.
