Famous saying is “Good Bureaucracy leads to Good Governance” every politician wants good bureaucrats with him/her to run the government smoothly. Wonder what will happen if bureaucrat would be the one who runs the government?
The answer is this long list of bureaucrats-turned-politicians features like Yashwant Sinha, Meira Kumar, Ajit Jogi, P L Punia etc. This list may soon add a new name who is very famous for her fierce and powerful stand in making Noida a free or less ‘MafiaRaaj’. We are talking about 2010 batch IAS and current OSD of Union Agriculture Ministry just 29 year old Durga Shakti Nagpal.
Sources told exclusive to NewsleakCentre on the request of anonymity, that a top National Party is after Durga Shakti Nagpal for an upcoming UP Election and may soon project her as a CM candidate and ‘UP ka Chehra’. Because of her clean image and beef with current CM Akhilesh Yadav, political experts believed that if a top National Party is indeed after Durga Shakti, it will only benefit the party. Experts also says that Mrs. Nagpal’s middle class background, woman factor, youngest age and high education is a stand out feature for her and she will be a strong model to project as CM candidate.
Speaking exclusively to NewsleakCentre constitution expert Subhash Kashyap said that, “People with a clean face who join politics is a welcome move. There would absolutely be no violation of any laws or constitution if Durga Shakti joins politics”
Who is Durga Shakti Nagpal ?
Nagpal came into the limelight a year ago, when she was suspended from service in July, for taking on the powerful sand-mining mafia. At that time, she was sub-divisional magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. It was believed the immediate trigger was she had led a team to demolish an illegally-built wall of a mosque.
The suspension led to national furore, with many political parties, including the BJP, as well as eminent citizens, criticising the move, alleging it was on flimsy grounds. The all-India IAS Association had also sided with the suspended official, seeking the intervention of the Union government. It demanded she be reinstated. In September 2013, she was reinstated by the state government, after her suspension order was revoked. In 2015, she is appointed as officer on special duty (OSD) at the agriculture ministry.
While some may think her candidacy may be weak compare to other party CM Candidates, but what is currently missing in UP Election is a clean image and no corruption charges. Remember, Arvind Kejriwal successfully contested against three times ex Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit just because of his no corruption agenda and clean image. Of all the current names thrown into the CM candidature, Durga Shakti Nagpal is actually the strongest of them all.
NewsleakCentre team tried to contact Durga Shakti Nagpal on this issue but she did not gave reactions or statements yet.
With the election is right around the corner, all parties will soon open their trump card soon and it will be clear whether Durga Shakti Nagpal is indeed a top choice for a top National party.
