This is how Congress MP Shashi Tharoor replied to a guy who wants to marry him
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor is quite popular on the social media and enjoys a very loyal fan base. Known for his impressive vocabulary, Tharoor is one politician on Twitter whose replies and tweets are not only impressive but also bang-on. At a recently held 10th Delhi Queer Pride Parade, when a man proposed to the MP from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram, Tharoor had the perfect response to this on Twitter.
When a magazine drew the author and former diplomat’s attention towards the man, who was holding the poster that “Shashi Tharoor, marry me” at Delhi Pride Parade, the MP on November 13 replied: “Haha! Now if they were only registered to vote in Thiruvananthapuram, it would be even better!”
The man, who was captured holding the poster, goes by the name Surya HK on Twitter.

Tharoor’s candid response to the proposal left Twitterati quite impressed.
While some told him to become the next Prime Minister of India, another wrote” “I wish I was eligible for voting in India… this guy is wowsome.”
