One of the versatile singer Sonu Nigam, who has a huge fan following in the world and has given several hit songs.
Now he has landed into fresh trouble after he posted a few tweets about Muslims and the Azaan on Monday morning.
His series of tweets expressing his disgusts for Muslims using loudspeakers for azaan (call for prayers) in mosques and likened the act to gundagardi.
According to Sonu, he is regularly woken up by the Azaan which disturbs his sleep and hence is on a complaining mode. He didn’t just stop there. He went further and explained how Prophet Mohammad lived in an era where there was no electricity and compared the azaan to a cacophony?’
Nigam’s main concern was this: “I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning.”
“When will this forced religiousness end in India,” the singer tweeted.
He then went on to say that he doesn’t ‘believe’ that temples and gurudwaras should wake up people with loud noises either.
And finally he came to a conclusion about mosques do it.
