‘Shah’ Punched Bihar CM Nitish Kumar In His Home Town.

March 28, 2022 (New Delhi): A youth punches Bihar CM Nitish Kumar during his visit to his home town Bakhtiyarpur, where Kumar was meeting his old associate.
Though CM do not suffer any injury but still his security is under question for the lapse.
CCTV footage shows the assailant, in his late 20s or early 30s, coming from behind and landing a blow on the septuagenarian’s face. Clad in a T-shirt and trousers, the assailant is soon overpowered by the chief minister’s security staff who quickly hand him over to the police.

When people began to hit the man ,CM emerged in his defence and requested people to ask for the reason for his aggressive action , the accused is identified to be Shankar Shah a resident of Abu Mahmad Pur of Bakhtiyarpur, owns a jewellery shop. In primary investigation by Patna Police, it confirms that Shah’s mental condition is not well, sources says that he is mostly confine at home by his family, but on Sunday he managed to ran away.

A case has been registered and the police are making further inquiries. The matter of security lapse is also being looked into, sources said.
These days, the Chief Minister is touring different segments of his old Lok Sabha constituency Barh as part of a public relations exercise. Mr Kumar , was elected five times from Barh, from 1989 to 1999. He also holds the record of being Bihar chief minister for the maximum time and longest period.

It is not the first time when Nitish faced such situation, earlier he faced an attack in November 2020, when he was campaigning in Bihar’s Madhubani for the ongoing state elections.
Mr Kumar was talking about jobs at a rally in Harlakhi, when the onions were hurled from the crowd. The pungent missiles went awry as his security personnel rushed to form a protective shield around him. “Khub feko, khub feko, khube feko (keep throwing),” said, the furious, Chief Minister.
