After years of messy custody battle and divorce, we have new details on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s custody case and the final ruling.

According to Page Six, Judge John Ouderkirk took the final call after listening to months of testimonies from child services professionals who had interviewed the couple and their kids.

Reports via Page Six revealed that Brad Pitt has now been granted joint custody of the children he shares with Angelina Jolie. The tentative ruling comes after a nearly five-year of oftentimes contentious legal battle’ between the actor and it’s not over yet.

Judge John Ouderkirk awarded the Oscar-Winning actor more custody over the former couple’s minor children Pax 17, Zahara 16, Shiloh 14, Knox and Vivienne 13. The former couple’s 19-year-old son Maddox is no longer part of the custody case.

However, Angelina Jolie stated that the judge allegedly had a business relationship with one of Brad’s attorneys and he failed to provide a fair trial to her.

“Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children’s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case,” according to the filing in California’s Second District Court of Appeal

The Eternal actress also stated that the judge has failed to adequately consider that the decision could be against the best interest of the kids if the custody is awarded to a person with a history of domestic violence.

“There was a significant change made in the custody agreements based on an extremely detailed decision made by the judge,” a source told Page Six about the custody ruling. “Brad was just trying to have more time with his kids – and it has been clear that Angie has done everything possible to prevent this.”

Jolie’s filing alleges that the judge refused to hear the minor teenagers input as to their experiences, needs, or wishes as to their custody fate’, citing a California code that says children 14 or over should be allowed to testify if they so choose.

In Pitt’s response, he notes the judge found Jolie’s testimony “lacked credibility in many important areas, and the existing custody order between the parties must be modified, per Mr. Pitt’s request, in the best interests of the children.”

Hollywood superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who have six children were once Hollywood’s highest-profile couple, formally divided two years ago but have remained locked in a private court battle since.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after an altercation occurred when the family was traveling on a private plane from France to California. Pitt was accused of being abusive towards Maddox, then 15.

Moreover, there are reports that since it is a ‘tentative decision’, the Maleficent actress is continuing her legal fight.
