1. Cyclone Burevi is likely to hit Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, says District Collector.
Cyclone Burevi is likely to hit Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday 3rd December, said the district collector Navjot Khosa on Wednesday.
“We have asked fishermen to return and have completely banned fishing and regulated movement in hilly areas.” Khosa said. “We are expecting a very high rainfall with wind speeds of 75-80 kmph.” She added.
2. Second wave of COVID- 19 in Karnataka is expected to happen in January- February, 2021.
The second wave of COVID- 19 in Karnataka is likely to happen in January – February 2021, said the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on Wednesday. The TAC also recommended to ban New Year Celebrations and impose a lockdown from December 26 to January 1.
The epidemic intelligence team will support the state war room for the early recognition of the second wave. They said.
3. Mexican Singer Jerry Demara accidentally injects Vitamin into his butt, dies.
Singer and songwriter Jerry Demara who was hosting ‘The Voice Mexico‘ died at the age of 42 after he improperly inserted the vitamin injection into his buttocks.
Demara’s wife Claudia Plascencia wrote on social media that he has been ‘delirious and vomiting’ before he was rushed to the hospital suffering from ‘unbearable pain’.
4. 93rd Academy Awards 2021 will happen in-person instead of online.
The 93rd Academy Awards, like every year will happen in- person rather than online at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre on April 25, 2021 i.e. 8 weeks later the usual date as per the reports. The Academy had earlier announced that the award ceremony will be carried out while taking care of coronavirus pandemic.
The number of people who are allowed to sit in Dolby Theatre with the seating capacity of 3,400 has not been disclosed yet.
However other award ceremonies like Emmys will be shown at home over Zoom.
