Karnataka published the fine amount collected for not wearing masks, and the records are unbelievable, here’s more to this:

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has so far collected Rs 3, 43, 000 from residents for not wearing a mask in public places.

This came after the first circular on April 30, 2020 that was issued by the BBMP that it would attract a fine of Rs 1, 000 and Rs 2, 000 for subsequent offence.

Later, in a revised order, Civic chief B.H. Anil Kumar stated that the fine amount for not wearing masks has been brought down to Rs 200 from the earlier Rs  1,000 for the first and the subsequent offence which has been stipulated as per the government notification of the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Regulations, 2020.
