Christmas Gift by Santa Modi! Kalkaji-Botanical Garden Line to be inaugurated on December 25

This December PM Narendra Modi will become Santa Claus for all the NCR people. DMRC released a statement saying that Narendra Modi will be inaugurating Kalkaji Mandir-Botanical garden metro line on Decmeber 25th. More than million people use Delhi metro everyday and the trains are never less crowded in the peak times. This new metro line is one of the many steps to divert the traffic from specific metro lines.
The pain of extreme rise in the metro fair are being tried to lessen by this new line which was supposed to open by the end of November. However, it’s festive season and this gift by DMRC forwarded by PM Modi will be accepted warmly.
Also, this will be the first line where Delhi Metro will start its much-awaited driverless trains, a first in the country. Initially, trains on this route will run with drivers for 2-3 years.

Sources said the line has been ready ever since the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), after visiting the section on November 13-15, gave the go-ahead for its opening, but a confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Office was awaited.

“Now that the Gujarat election results are out, the confirmation has come from PMO,” a source said.
