Chaos at Tractor Rally as Farmers Breached Barricades and Cops used tear gas against them- Tap to Know more

As the country Celebrated it’s 72nd Republic Day, thousand of farmers knocked down barricades, clashed with police, and entered Delhi this morning to continue their protest with a historic tractor rally against the government’s new agricultural laws.

Farmers were given permission to take their tractor rally in Delhi after the annual parade at Rajpath, a ceremonial road in the heart of the city.

However farmers started their rally around 8 am even before the parade started and hijacked a police bus in Central Delhi’s ITO.

Shocking visuals shows farmers clashing with policemen at Singhu borders which divides Delhi and Haryana and has been the epicenter of protests against the farm laws that began late November.

A dramatic video from Delhi’s Akshardham showed policeman firing tear gas shells from an overbridge and farmers still adamant to go towards Red Fort to show their protest against three agricultural laws.

For the unversed Delhi police had given permission for the tractor rally after the annual Republic Day Parade. The farmers were told they can’t disrupt the celebrations at Rajpath.

Farmers are moving ahead by chanting ‘Jai Jawan and Jai Kishan’ and patriotic songs while police officers are trying their best to stop the protests.
