CBI Chief Alok Verma Sent On Leave: 2 am Government Order That Shook Up CBI

CBI chief Alok Verma, his deputy Rakesh Asthana and several other officers have been sent on leave in an extraordinary coda to a battle within the country’s top investigating agency.

Absolutely shocking for the government to act this way against the CBI director and his team while they are in midst of an investigation against a Modi’s favourite.

Sources said CBI Director Alok Kr Verma, who has been sacked, snooped on his mentor NSA Ajit Doval and his son, PK Mishra, Bhaskar Khulbe.

In a latest update 13 More Officers from CBI also transferred to Different Places.

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has appointed joint director M Nageshwar Rao as Interim Director of the investigative agency with immediate effect, said an order by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Verma and Asthana have been “divested of all powers”. It is probably the first such case in the history of the country’s premier probe agency.

The Prime Minister-led Appointments Committee’s order means that the government has sidelined all the three additional directors, number three in the agency hierarchy, to give charge of the post of the director to joint director M Nageshwar Rao.

Alok Verma cannot be removed before his fixed two-year term as CBI director without a meeting of a group that includes the PM, Chief Justice and leader of opposition, said lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan.

Rakesh Asthana yesterday took the CBI to court, asking for the charges against him to be cancelled and for protection from arrest. The Delhi High Court did not cancel the case, but sent notice to the CBI director and said Rakesh Asthana would not be arrested at least until it heard the case next Monday.

For 52 months, BJP said there’s ‘not even a whiff of corruption’. And now the PM does this! What do you say guys?           If you agree with the same then share your opinion in the below comment section.
