The Duchess of Cambridge has sported the £475 (Rs.35k) long tassel pair from Penelope Chilvers in Spanish vegetable-dyed leather, for more than a decade, having first been photographed in them in the grounds of Blenheim Palace back in 2004.
The rubber-soled, fully leather-lined riding boots are perfect for the wet conditions in Bella Bella, unlike her husband Prince William’s bland choice. Oops
She teamed them with a lightweight jacket from Holland & Holland and a pair of Zara jeans, to combat the bad weather conditions.
Kate’s definitely got her money’s worth, having worn them for the Festival of British Eventing in 2005 and on the royal tour of India, for a six-hour trek in the Himalayas , as well as day-to-day, when she’s off-duty.
We’re likely to see the Duchess sporting more casual looks on this action-packed tour, with visits to a university campus, Canadian rangers and mountain biking still to come.
