Ahmedabad Hospital Fire: Heavy fire in Covid-19 hospital, eight dead; CM Rupani ordered an inquiry

A fire broke out at Shrey Hospital in Navarangpura area of ​​Ahmedabad around 3 am Thursday, killing eight Corona-infected patients. It is a Kovid-19 hospital. The fire was in the ICU ward on the fourth floor of the hospital. The dead included five male and three female patients who were undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has ordered an inquiry into the fire incident at Shrey Hospital in Ahmedabad. Additional Chief Secretary (Home Department) Sangeeta Singh will lead the investigation. The CM has ordered a full report of the incident within three days.

JCP Rajendra Asari of Ahmedabad Sector 1 said that eight people have died in the hospital under fire. Other patients have been shifted to a safer place. The matter will be thoroughly investigated.

Around 40 other hospitalized patients were shifted to SVP Hospital operated by Civic Body after a horrific fire. It is being told that the ICU department of the hospital caught fire due to a short circuit and went on spreading slowly.
