Saudi Crown Prince orders to release 850 Indians Prisoners after Modi’s request

After the visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to India, on Wednesday Saudi Arabia ordered the officials to release 850 Indian prisoners from the Saudi jails.

According to the reports given by the External Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, the decision taken by the Crowned Prince was on the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Another big deliverable! At the request of the PM, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has ordered the release of 850 Indian prisoners lodged in Saudi jails”, Raveesh Kumar posted this on his twitter account.

Not only the release of Indian prisoners but PM Narendra Modi also requested Prince Mohammad to increase the quota for Indian Haj Pilgrims to 2 lakhs. At present, the quota is about 1.75 lakh.

The Saudi crown Prince arrived India on Tuesday, a day after visiting Pakistan. In a special gesture, PM Modi broke the protocol to personally receive the Prince and welcomed him with a warm hug at Palam Airport. Next place to visit for prince after India is China.
