Philippines extended the ban on UK Travel following the new coronavirus strain.

According to the report by Manila Times, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday announced the extention of ban of all the flights from United Kingdom for two more weeks i.e. until the second week of January.

The Philippines government has suspended the flights from UK because of the new coronavirus variant found in December 24 in the British country.

The news strain of coronavirus was found in UK which is nore transmissible than SARS-Cov-2 variants.

Duterte approved the recommendation of the Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr to extend the ban during this meeting with members of his cabinet on Saturday.

The President also approved the recommendation of the Department of Health to quarantine travellers coming from the countries that have recorded the cases of new coronavirus strain which include Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Australia.
