Netizens flooded with #Trump2024 as Donald Trump Acquitted Again by US Senate in Second Impeachment Trial.

Former US President Donald Trump on Saturday was acquitted at his Senate impeachment trial of inciting an insurrection at the US Capitol Hill on January 6.

Forty-three senators voted to acquit former President Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial with fifty seven senators finding him guilty, short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict, leaving the embattled Republic leader from pursuing federal office again.

Trump’s second impeachment trial was shorter than the first in 2020 and relied majorly on the impact of video footage of the former Presidents incendiary remarks and the Capital Attack.

“Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun,” Trump said in a statement issued just moments after the Senate vote.

“In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people,” he said.

“We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future,” Trump said.

Trump also denounced his second impeachment trial as “yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our country.”

In the meantime Trump’s acquittal means that he is allowed to run for federal office again and though he hasn’t announced to seek the presidency Netizens believes that Trump could make a huge comeback in the 2024 presidential elections.

Though some Democrats in Congress have voiced support for banning Trump from holding federal office by invoking Section 3 of the 14th Amendment it is reported that doing so would not be simple and could pose questions about its constitutionality in Trump’s case.
