PM Modi tributes Mahatma Gandhi on RajGhat and launches Rastriya Jal Jeevan Kosh app on this occasion and UN chief reiterates his call for peace on this occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Mohandas Karmchand Gandhi was Indian Lawyer, anti- colonialists and political ethicst who employed the non -volient resistance to lead the successful campaign for India’s Independence from British rule and turn inspired movements of civil rights and freedom across the world.

As India remembers Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birthday anniversary PM Modi pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat and he says “ I bow to respected Bapu on Gandhi Jayanti and his noble principles are globally relevant and gave strength to millions.”
He would also have meeting with panic samitis and gram panchayats under this mission on video conferencing on 11 am
He would be also launching Rastriya Jal Jeevan Mission app to improve the awareness among stake holders for greater transperacy and accountability of work under this mission.

In Mann Ki Baat PM Modi urged the people to purchase and wear Khadi clothes to remark a tribute on Gandhi Jayanti and we as a citizens of India should follow his Ahimsa principals which are globally relevant.

Meanwhile, UN chief Antonio Guterres also supports Ahimsa principals as he says “Hatred, conflict and division of the day
It is the time to usher in this new era of peace, trust and tolerance.

On this International day of non -violence -Gandhi’s birthday – let’s heed his message of peace and commit to building of better future for all. ”

Thus, on Gandhi Jayanti we all should pledge to follow Ahimsa principals in order to bring peace in the world.
