Kangana’s ‘LOCK UPP’ touch 200 million mark in month, Munawar and Karan Kundrra steal the spotlights

March 6, 2022 (New Delhi): Television’s most successful producer, Ekta Kapoor’s first reality show Lock Upp, which started on OTT platforms Alt Balaji and MX Player, remains in the trending headlines every day for one reason or the other. The contentious quarrel between the contestants of the show makes the show interesting and sometimes their shocking revelations steals the spotlights. The show is hosted by Bollywood ‘Queen’ and actress Kangana Ranaut, the show has already set the bar high and it seems to be breaking all records of fame and popularity. Kangana Ranaut has posted and informed this big news that Lock Up has touched 200 million views.
Outspoken and controversial comedian Munawar Faruqui was broke down during an episode of Lock Up. FYI, Munawar had spent a month in an Indore jail last year after he was accused of hurting religious sentiments in one of his stand-up comedy shows, he had entered the captivity-based reality show on the charges of a “joke gone wrong.” When Munawar became emotional in the show, Kundrra entered the jail after seeing Munawar’s break down. Karan hugged Munawar tightly who was in tears and consoled him. He told the comedian, “Jab tu hasta hai na, to puri country hasti hai. Aaj tu ro raha hai na, puri country aur mai bhi ro raha hu (When you laugh, the entire country laughs with you. Today you are crying, I and the entire country is crying with you). You are a sweetheart.”
Actress Kangna Ranaaut recently posted a story on her Instagram account where it could be seen that 30% viewership of Lock Upp spiked after kundra entered the show. Also Ekta Kapoor mentioned the immense love and support of fans for making the show hit and super trending across the OTT platform. Earlier, Kangana Ranaut dragged Bollywood Producer Karan Johar and said, “As Lock Upp hits 200 million views, the entire army of chipmunks/media of cruella/ papa jo along with him, are going to cry in hiding. Despite them trying so hard we have got 200m views. Now see what is going to happen next. Your days to cry are here now, papa jo.” Kangana has really set a standard with her new role in the world of OTT.
