James Anderson “King Of Swing ” Reaches Record 600 Wickets!

England fast bowler James Anderson becomes the first fast bowler to take 600 Test Wickets on Tuesday.The England paceman became the fourth bowler in the world to scalp 600 wickets in Test Cricket by dismissing Azhar Ali in the Third Test against Pakistan.

 James Anderson joins the prestigious 600 clubs after Sri Lanka Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Australia’s Shane Warne (708), and India’s Anil Kumble (619).England’s front line fast bowler in Tests James Anderson made his test debut in 2003 against Zimbabwe at Lord’s. He is 38 years old now and has been playing international test cricket for more than 17 years and is not willing to stop anytime soon.

On being asked whether he could go for another milestone by setting the records for 700 wickets, James Anderson said “Can I Reach 700? Why not? “

Meanwhile, Cricketers around the globe went on congratulating the “King of Swing” James Anderson.

James Anderson after dismissing Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali in the first slip took the ball in his right hand and saluted all sides of the Rose Bowl stadium in Southampton.

100th wicket – Jacques Kallis of South Africa ( 2008)

 200th wicket -Peter Siddle of Australia (2010)

300th Wicket -Peter Fulton of New Zealand (2013)

400th Wicket – Martin Guptil of New Zealand (2015)

 500th Wicket-Kraigg Brathwaite of West Indies (2017)

600th Wicket – Azhar Ali of Pakistan (2020)

Currently James Anderson said that he has no plans to retire and has his sights set on an Ashes Series Down under next year.
