Hundreds of Men burned their mobile phones because Islam says so, really? watch this video.
Taking a cue from Andrew Wallace original BBC radio play ‘Burn Your Phone’ several men in Pakistan burned their mobile ph0nes in an event.
Well, we are joking, not the burning mobile phone part that actually happened but about BBC radio play, No Pakistani men didn’t take an inspiration from the play but actually took a page out ‘Iman Afroz’ book and decided to burned down their mobile phone in the process.

The video circulated on the internet where several Pakistani men and women from Darul Uloom Haqqania were gathered in a park and decided to burn their mobile phone (with social media messengers apps installed), as it is against the preaching of Islam.
It is noteworthy that the mobile phone involves some dangerous stuff that is principally not liked in Islam. Most important of these are music and picture. Music, which arouses carnal desires and inflames sensual passions, is prohibited in Islam. Thus, the songs that contain such attributes are disliked. The mobile tones that are based on songs or that indicate to songs fall in the same category and hence are disallowed. The Glorious Quran and Hadith have categorically dismissed music. The Quran says: “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur’an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment”
The sad part is most of the men don’t even know that they can uninstall their messenger apps from their mobile phones. If that wasn’t enough the speaker even mentioned the heroic act of one person who smashed his mobile phone worth Rs 60K.
This event sparks controversy in Pakistani media and several Pakistani twitter users criticized this weird event on twitter.
