March 25, 2022 (New Delhi): Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has become the center of attraction since he delivered a contentious speech on “The Kashmir Files” getting tax-free across the country. After almost many states declared the movie tax-free, people demanded Kejriwal to make “The Kashmir Files” movie tax-free in Delhi. In response, Kejriwal asked filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to make the film available for free on YouTube. On the contrary, he has admired many movies like Article 15 starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Masaan starring Vicky and Richa Chaddha, and Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.

Mocking the decisions of various state governments of making Agnihotri’s movie tax-free in their particular states, CM Arvind Kejriwal stated, “They are saying to make the movie The Kashmir Files tax-free, better upload it on YouTube and the whole movie will become free.” Kejriwal further added, Why to focus on a tax exemption, if one is so interested, why not ask director Vivek Agnihotri to upload it on YouTube and everyone will see the movie in one day.” Surprisingly, Kejriwal has earlier made movies like ‘Neel Batte Sannatta’, 83 and ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ tax-free in Delhi.

Furthermore, the Delhi chief minister also insinuated that ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a movie not grounded in reality and that it is a “jhoothi” movie.
