Ecuadorian Couple sets Guinness World Record by becoming World’s Oldest Married Couple!

Ecuadorian couple Julio Mora and Waldramina Quinteros have set the Guinness World Record by Becoming World’s Oldest Married Couple.

Seventy-Nine years ago, Julio Mara and Waldramina Quinteros secretly married against their families’ consent and wishes on 7 February 1941.

According to Guinness World Record, their forbidden love now makes the oldest living married couple in the world, with a combined age of nearly 215.

Julio Mora(110 years) was born on 10 March 1910 and Miss Waldramina Quinteros(104) was born on 16 October 1915. Combined, the Ecuadorian couple has lived just shy a total of 215 years.

The couple also received a Guinness Book of World Records Certification for the longest marriage. The beautiful couple has 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. The couple is happily living together. However, they miss their big family get-togethers due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Julio Mora secretly tied the knot with Waldramina Quinteros in La Iglesia de El Belen, the first church built by the Spanish in Ecuador’s Capital of Quito in front of their godparents and their closest friends.Both Julio Mora and Waldramina Quinteros are retired teachers and live in the North -Central part of Quito, Ecuador’s capital.

The couple said in a statement that “the love and maturity we had as a couple from the beginning of the marriage allowed us to know each other and grow emotionally to define our future”

Aura Cecilla, one of their daughters said that her parents enjoy going to the movies and having big dinners with family and friends.

Since they haven’t been able to have get-togethers lately the couple now looking forward to being reunited with their family and loved ones.
