Delhi pollution hits Test cricket: Sri Lankan’s trolled post high drama at Kotla

With Virat Kohli on rampage mode, Sri Lanka had another factor to contend it – the pollution in Delhi.
Most of them were seen wearing face masks and play had to be halted as the fielders were in no mood to continue.
One can hardly blame them as the pollution levels have gone off the charts in recent days in the capital. The level in Kotla is around 200.

Eventually, after a lot of talk, play resumed. The Lankans were reluctant to continue but after a long chat, they returned to their positions.
India were 519/5 with Kohli on 240 when it happened.
Then the management got involved and Kohli, who was out for 243, angrily gestured his batsmen to come back and declared with the score on 536/7.

Social media was pretty active as people were quick top voice their opinion:

The interesting thing however was, when Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews came out to bat, they were not seen wearing anything on their face.
The humidity on Sunday at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 92 per cent.

Saturday’s minimum temperature was 7.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average while the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius.
