Watch: AUS vs NZ 5th T20: Young spectator takes an amazing ‘one-handed’ catch, gets over Rs 32 lakh reward

A young cricket spectator was rewarded with $50,000 (Rs 32 lakh approx) after he picked a spectacular ‘one-handed’ catch during a T20 match between New Zealand and Australia at the Eden Park in Auckland on February 16.

Young spectator identified as Grimstone, a 20-year-old student, stretched his left-hand over the deep square leg boundary to take the catch off the penultimate ball of New Zealand’s innings.

  1. Grimstone took the catch of Blackcaps batsman Ross Taylor after he smashed Australian fast-bowler Andrew Tye down the ground for a massive six.

Meanwhile, Australian team created a world record in T20 cricket after they chased down 244-run target set by New Zealand during the 5th match of T20 tri-series.

This was the biggest successful run chase in T20I history.
