India’s batting sensation Cheteshwar Pujara has may not be the same hero for India as in the 2018/2019 series but he is still a prized wicket to get for Australia as the hosts have been chalking out different plans to dismiss India’s ‘new wall’.
Since the morning of Day 5 Pujara has been defending the attacks of Aussie bowlers and frustrating them as India continues to fight Australia tooth and nail to save the Brisbane test and retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
An incident on Day 5 which came to the limelight was when Pujara survived a close call for leg before wicket against Nathan Lyon.
Cheteshwar Pujara came down the wicket to defend Nathan Lyon but got hit on the pad. It hit him in the line but the umpire gave it not out.
Though, The Kangaroos reviewed the lbw decision against Pujara bit it soon turned up to be umpires for hitting the stumps.
This incident led Cricket fans to fume at the umpires decision that there was no shot offered by the Pujara so he can’t be declared out.
Fans were in disbelief over the umpire’s call as it was quite evident that Pujara was playing a shot.
