India ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni demanded 80 crore as the royalty for his biopic – MS Dhoni: The Untold Story – as per the media reports. If reports are to be believed the deal made between Fox Stars and MSD is worth Rs 80 crore. Of this, Rs 20 crore has reportedly been paid to Dhoni for the rights to his life story. As part of the backend deal, the cricketer will also get a share in the film’s profits and royalties.
M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story is a bollywood biographical film directed by Neeraj Pandey, releasing on 30th September 2016. Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment. The film is based on the life of Indian cricketer and the current captain of the Indian national cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film features Sushant Singh Rajput in the leading role as Dhoni, Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher.

Trailer is a huge hit on the Social Media platform and currently has 16 million plus views and more than 3 lakh likes. Trade experts believed that movie will earn more than 150 crore at the box-office. So 80 crore is somewhat justifiable, right?
