The ongoing fight against Corona seems to be reaching new heights. The country has got another weapon in this fight. Now another vaccine has been added to the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country. News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) constituted by the government has recommended to approve the emergency use of Zydus Cadila’s three-dose anti-corona vaccine.

The Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on Covid-19 of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on Thursday deliberated on the application made by Zydus Cadila and its three It has been recommended to approve emergency use for the dosed anti-Covid-19 vaccine. The committee has sent its recommendations to the Drugs Controller General of India, DCGI.

It is to be known that this Ahmedabad-based pharma company had applied to DCGI on July 1 for emergency use of its vaccine. The company says that it has conducted clinical trials of this vaccine in more than 50 centers in India so far. If the emergency use of this vaccine is approved by the Drugs Controller General of India, DCGI, then it will prove to be a major weapon in the fight against Corona.

News agency PTI has said in its report that if approved, ZyCoV-D will be the world’s first DNA vaccine against the corona virus which has been developed by an Indian company. In this way, this will be the sixth vaccine to be approved in the country after Serum Institute’s Covishield, Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine, Russia’s Sputnik-V, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.
