CM Patnayak on immediate oxygen supply to Delhi – if this step has been taken prior thousands of lives could have been saved!

Odisha has emerged as a defender for Delhi, which suffers from daily oxygen shortage amid growing cases of the corona. State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told Dainik Bhaskar that ‘there will no longer be a shortage of oxygen in Delhi, we promise to the people of Delhi that no one will die there due to lack of oxygen. If the Prime Minister had done this meeting more quickly, we would have started supplying oxygen more quickly. ‘

The Odisha government has decided to send medical oxygen to Delhi after a meeting with the Prime Minister on Thursday, 22 April. Also, by issuing a written order on Friday, 23 April, the industrial use of oxygen in Odisha is currently banned.

Odisha government spokesman Manas Mangraj said on Friday that “two 20-ton tankers have been sent to Delhi tomorrow.” The 70 oxygen bus is due to arrive in a few hours. Till the situation improves, now 100 tonnes of oxygen will be sent to Delhi every day. If more oxygen is needed, we are also able to send it. ‘

Manas said that 500 tonnes of oxygen are safe near Odisha. Apart from this, medical oxygen is being produced daily. All types of industrial supplies have been stopped. In order to increase the production capacity of medical oxygen has also been issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.

An Odisha spokesperson said that “we have come to hear that some states are taking oxygen loot of Delhi.” That is why oxygen is being transported to Delhi with Police Security. For this, a special team of Odisha Police has been deployed. In the same security, oxygen will reach Delhi from Odisha. ADG Law and Order has formed this police team. There is no problem with fast oxygen delivery to Delhi so that the police are completely ready.

Odisha has been sending medical oxygen to Maharashtra for the last five days. Yesterday, two 40-40 ton tankers were sent to Maharashtra. Apart from this, 50 to 60 tonnes of oxygen is being sent daily to Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. This supply is being done for the last one week.
