Fixing bombshell dropped on Ashes

On Thursday ‘The Sun’ claimed to have exposed two bookies which includes an Indian “Mr.Big”. The Sun reported that the bookies allegedly offered to sell the details of ‘rigged periods of play’ to bet on and win big amount. One of the two bookies agreed to be part of the fixing incident with former and current international players including a World cup winning all-rounder.

However no Australian or English player name have surfaced as of now.

The Sun under-covers were demanded an amount up to $187,000 to spot fix a session as the specific amount runs will be scored in an over.

“Before the match, I will tell you this over, this runs, and then you have to put all the bets on that over” one the bookmakers was quoted saying.

The fixers said that they can make the players follow their leads and make the game progress as they desire.

The ICC have stated this matter to be of ‘Grave Concern’. “We take all the allegations of corruption seriously and welcome The Sun’s offer to share the information”, it said.

Cricket Australia said, they have zero tolerance towards anyone who have perturbed the game. They also said that the reports and allegations have no substance.

The Sun reported that the bookies also revealed could also corrupt the big t20 leagues as the Big Bash League and IPL.
