Five Things Indian Men Need To Learn Before Hitting on Tinder

Tinder is like a ‘Bhagwaan Ka Aashirwad’ for the Indian guys who are always scared of approaching girls on social sites and in person. But even on the most popular date app, these men are masters of creating blunders (no offence). So here is list of ‘Don’t Dos’ on tinder so that you can decently get a nice date or at least a right swipe!

Don’t be boring

Women lose interest talking to two-three men at the same time, answering the same questions ‘What do you do? What are you interested in?’ As far as my experience goes, it was very mechanical. People need to break the norm of getting to know each other. Just start a conversation with a joke or a cool face rather than typical questions.

“Indian men are very boring. They don’t have a sense of humour or creativity. A conversation usually begins with, ‘Hi, what’s up? What do you do? Where do you work? Interesting. Do you think we should meet up?’ I haven’t had anyone say anything interesting. Yet, I’ve been recommending it to everyone, just for the sheer joy of rejecting men” says a Mumbai girl.

Stalking is creepy

That girl already has a lot of her pictures on her tinder profile. Please don’t stalk her and make this dating thing creepy.

“Every day, I would get 10-15 friend requests on Facebook. My folders were full of strange messages from men wanting to meet up. One guy even continuously messaged me on Twitter, and sent me a friend request on LinkedIn. That’s why I left Tinder. The entire dynamic of dating in our country is much skewed. We’re not used to interacting with the opposite sex in a neutral fashion, horrible experience of a girl from Mumbai.

Humour always helps

What what makes you swipe left or right is not just the profile pictures. So try to be funny, because humour engages women and is flattering.

“Most guys Google pick up lines and so they’re not remarkable”, a frequent tinder user.

It’s not a matrimonial website

Guys you have sites like Shaadi.com and Matrimony.com to get a Bahu for your mother. Spare Tinder please for God’s sake! Tinder is just a nice easy platform to meet people, whether you want to date or marry them. We have too many expectations from the app it is not a matrimony site.

It’s not only about sex

NO! It’s not. Okay maybe your purpose for being here may be this but just thinking or planning about sex is not what interests’ women. You have to win heart first, if not heart then atleast her interest!

“Can’t blame Tinder for men being perverts. I left because men on Tinder are mostly looking for no-strings-attached sex, which was not something I was looking for. The problem is with the people who sign up on Tinder. They have misplaced intentions and the moment they don’t get what they want, they don’t even indulge in chit chat. The broader thing is that Indian men are just boring they just want to have sex. Not really have an interesting conversation. Tinder can be much more”, says an Indian woman on twitter.
