Finally, emojis break the barriers of racism! ‘Love-moji’ App debuts interracial emojis

Couples of all genders and races now have more ways to document their love on social media, thanks to upcoming drama Loving. The movie tells the real-life story of civil rights movement icons Richard and Mildred Loving, who fought to make their interracial marriage legal in Virginia.

Emojis just became more inclusive than ever. Thanks to the upcoming film “Loving,” people will be able to share emojis featuring couples of all races and genders by using the “Love-Moji” app, as first reported by People.

In their honor, Focus Features launched a new app, Love-Moji, on Tuesday, which is a keyboard extension that can be downloaded through mobile app stores and VoteLoving.com. The Love-Mojis include male and female couples of various ethnicities and genders posing with a heart, as well as kissing. Others feature couples holding hands.
“Loving,” in theaters on Nov. 4, tells the story of the couple’s fight to legalize interracial marriage in their landmark 1967 U.S. Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia.

Additionally, on Tuesday Twitter launched a Loving emoji that represents Richard and Mildred, which self-populates when a user types the hashtags “#VoteLoving” or “#ThisIsLoving.”

Twitter also launched an emoji on Tuesday which depicts the Loving couple when people use the hashtag #VoteLoving.
“Love-Moji” serves as a good reminder that love is love.
