It has been 5 years since Sridevi made an appearance on the silver screen. She was last seen in theGauriShinde directed film ‘English Vinglish’ in 2012. After a gap of almost five years, she is making a comeback in the industry with ‘Mom’

She took to twitter today to share the first look poster of the film. Her caption said ‘When a woman is challenged…’ The twitter also congratulated her on this. What is your take on the First look of ‘Mom? ’ In the poster, we find Sridevi intensely looking at something. Apart from this, the title of the film ‘Mom’ is written all over the poster in different languages.
The Bollywood fraternity also congratulated the southern beauty on her comeback. Karan Johar shared ‘Mom’s poster in twitter. Salman Khan was also of all praises for Sridevi. In a recent award show, Salman was quoted saying that Sridevi’s contribution to the Bollywood industry cannot be compared with anyone.
When Anchor Manish Paul introduced Salman Khan and touted him as the ‘Star of the Millenium’. The ‘Dabangg’ star brushed off the praise and instead gave an amazing introduction to Sridevi. He said Sridevi has done 300 films only in Bollywood over a period of 50 years, which is remarkable and also congratulated her on the poster launch of her next film ‘Mom.’ Along with Sridevi, Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui are cast in pivotal roles. They are playing Sridevi’s children in the movie.
The shoot of the movie was delayed due to the ban on Pakistani artists post-Uri Attacks. To the viewers’ delight, NawazuddinSiddique will also be seen in a defining role in the movie.
The film revolves around a woman’s struggles, her strained relationship with her stepdaughter as she keeps fighting against some injustice done to her. ‘Mom’ is directed by debutant Ravi Udayawar and produced by Sridevi’s husband Bonny Kapur. The film also stars AksahyeKhanna and Abhimanyu Singh among others.
