‘Thalaivi’ trailer: Kangana Ranaut’s powerpack performance as Jayalalithaa will surely give you goosebumps

The much-awaited trailer of Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Thalaivi’ is finally out and we can’t keep calm. The trailer is released on the special occasion of Thalaivi Kangana Ranaut’s birthday.

Thalaivi is a film based on the story of late politician J Jayalalithaa, who changed the face of politics in Tamil Nadu.

Thalaivi is directed by AL Vijay and is all set to release in theatres on April 23. While Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Jayalalithaa, Actor Arvind Swamy will be seen as MGR aka MG Ramachandran.

The three-minute-long trailer captures the early days of Jayalalithaa as an actress in the Tamil film industry. The trailer showcases her meteoric rise as a superstar heroine to a successful politician and is interesting to watch.

The trailer begins with a voice-over that says ‘Jaya ‘ and a graphics is shown that reads ‘The name you know, the life story you don’t’ and after this, a man is heard saying ” Vo Film wali Hume bataegi ke Rajneeti Kaise ki Jati Hai ‘

The trailer also shows glimpses of her love life and how she was treated for being a woman in the society of men. A voice-over is also heard saying, ‘ ye mardo ki Duniya Hain Aur hum Ek Aurat ko aagey Karke khade hai ‘

The trailer shows her relationship with MG Ramachandran and how with his love and guidance Thalaivi was adored by the people.

From her acting career to being a CM, Kangana is surely bringing life to the journey of the late politician.

The trailer looks promising and it looks like the forthcoming film will bring several things to the table of the audience.

The Thalaivi film also marks Kangana’s return to Tamil Cinema after a gap of 12 years, after working in Dhaam Dhoom with Jayaram Ravi.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut has several films in her kitty including Tejas, Dhaakad among others.
