Sushant Singh Rajput is giving a new platform to writers, read how?
Sushant Singh Rajput is certainly one of the rare gems in Bollywood, making his debut with Kai Po Che, the actor has impressed us with his choice of films. From a cricket enthusiast in Kai Po Che to portraying a captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni itself in Dhoni Biopic, a commitment freak in Shudh Desi Romance or a well-known detective in Byomkesh Bakshi, the actor’s acting range and script choice is excellent. He will be seen in Romantic entertainer Raabta, and will also play an astronaut in one of his films.
As reported by HT, Sushant is planning a new website for aspiring writers which will give them a new platform to showcase their talents and it will also encourage new talents to come up with new story ideas and concepts which can catch an eye of a producer or a film-maker. In the website, writers can submit their fresh scripts. The source told the newspaper about the website and gives details about how it will work, ““As Sushant is promoting his film and has a choc-a-bloc schedule, he hasn’t had enough time to set the website up. However, since the word has spread, several budding writers have been sending their scripts to his agency. Sushant, who is an avid reader, goes through them whenever time permits. He has also been chatting with his fans over Instagram and Twitter to understand the kind of films they want to watch. The website is currently under construction. Sushant will make a formal announcement once things are confirmed.”
Sushant knows how difficult the work of a writer to get his talent noticed and he hopes that the website will give them the right direction. Sushant said to the newspaper, “I just want to make sure that small but significant films get a chance to be made. Therefore, it is (very essential) to create platforms for emerging writers. When I started I had no one to help me or guide me. So, I know what it feels like to be lost somewhere in the entertainment business.”
It’s certainly a great idea and will bring some fresh story ideas in Bollywood. Sushant will be seen next in Raabta, directed by Dinesh Vijan, opposite his rumoured girlfriend Kriti Sanon.
