FIR was filed against Kangana Ranaut by Sikhs for her derogatory remarks against the Sikh community. Actor Kangana Ranaut is more known for her controversies than her movies. Another statement of hers has created controversy again as she took her Instagram and wrote “Khalistani terrorists may be arm twisting the government today ….But let’s not forget one woman…The only women prime minister ne inne apne joote ke niche crush kiya tha (the only women PM who crushed them under her shoes). No matter how much suffering she caused to the nation …. She crushed them like mosquitoes at cost of her own life….Lekin desh ke tukde nahi hone diye(but she did not let nation to get divided).” Her post was seen as alluding to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards. Nearly 3,000 were killed in a riot and let to attack many homes, shops and gurudwaras.
For this statement, she has been summoned by Delhi’s assembly panel on peace and harmony over her remarks on Sikhs. Ms. Ranaut was told to appear before the committee headed by Aam Admi Party leader Raghav Chadha on December 6.

The committee has sent notice to Kangana Ranaut in which it says “The committee has received the numerous complaints eliciting interested alAliaoutrageously offensive and derogatory Instagram stories/posts allegedly published by yourself on 20.11.2021 over your Instagram account….blanketly labeling (Sikhs) as Khalistani terrorists…. Has potential to disharmony as well as cause wounding humiliation to the entire Sikh community.” The FIR was also filed by Sikhs against the actor in Mumbai for using derogatory language against them in her social media posts.
The police complaint was filed by Mumbai businessman, Delhi Sikh management committee leaders and Shiromani Akeli Dal alleged that Ms. Ranaut “intentionally and deliberately ” portrayed the year-long protest by farmers against three farm laws as a “Khalistani” movement and called “Khalistani terrorists”. The actor has been a big critic of farmers’ protests too especially about three farm laws that were recently canceled by the government.
