Shaheer Sheikh opens up about his secretive Court Marriage

The entire nation was left heartbroken when television’s heartthrob, Shaheer Sheikh had announced that he has gotten married.
The couple had met through common friends, and after a brief friendship, started dating. Sheikh had even accompanied Kapoor to London during the shoot of Judgementall Hai Kya.
For better or for worse, your life does get changed significantly once you tie the knot! From balancing your blood relation to managing your in-laws and your better-half, marriage marks the beginning of an entirely new phase, which is all about the balancing act. ‘I’ becomes ‘we’, ‘me’ becomes ‘us’ and this is one of the basic changes that two individuals go through once they take the ‘saat pheras’ in front of the holy fire. And the entire nation was left heartbroken when television’s heartthrob, Shaheer Sheikh had announced his privare wedding with Ruchikaa Kapoor.
It was on November 27, 2020, when Shaheer had announced his ‘hush-hush’ wedding with Ruchikaa on his Instagram handle. He had shared a loving picture with his wifey and had written, “Zindagi khatm bhi ho jaaye agar… Na kabhi khatm ho ulfat ka safar. #chaloDildarChalo #ikigai.”
Recently, in an interview with Spotboye, Shaheer opened up on his private wedding and the reason why he had opted for a court marriage. The actor shared, “I don’t even like to celebrate my birthday, so you can imagine. I always wanted my marriage to be as simple as possible. Ruchikaa and my family were not up for a simple one and that’s why we are planning something in June. Because of the pandemic, we also got an opportunity to keep it low key and have it like an intimate affair. ” He further shared that there were not more than 10 people, who had attended his wedding; only a few close friends, including Supriya Pilgaonkar, who played Sheikh’s mother in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. After making their relationship official, the newlyweds flew to Shaheer’s hometown in Jammu for a small ceremony at his home.
Shaheer also shared his family’s reaction and said, “My family really wanted me to get married from a very long time. My mom was behind my life, so unhone kaha, “theek hai, tu kar raha hai na karle.” Shaheer also revealed the decision of announcing his wedding and said, “It was out there and people had an idea about this. I am a person who doesn’t like to put his personal life out there. I don’t know how to put this across but I feel nazar lagti hai (laughs). So, just live your life, be happy and make sure whatever you put there should be inspiring and gives out a right message. So, whenever I feel there is a need to put it out there, I do that. I can be wrong but I am a person who is driven by his emotions, so whatever I feel I do.”
In October 2020, It’s only been a few days since Shaheer Sheikh opened up about his lady love. He shared a funny click of ‘girl with curls’, on Instagram and had written, “Mommy there is something in the backyard… #ikigai #madMe #girlwithcurls.” On the second picture, which he had posted of Ruchikaa, he had written, “Never mind it’s my girl.”
In a post-wedding interview with Pinkvilla, Shaheer had talked about his decision of getting married and had said, “We all know nothing is for sure but during the lockdown, we realised we can’t keep planning for the future as it’s very uncertain. That’s when we took the decision.”
