Although failing to topple Avengers: Infinity War as the biggest opening Friday grosser of 2018, Salman Khan’s Eid release Race 3 seems to have secured its spot as the biggest opening weekend grosser of the year. Directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Salman Khan Films and Tips Films, Race 3 was released on June 15.
After a bumper opening of Rs. 29.17 crore on Friday, Salman Khan’s latest Eid release, Race 3, is taking huge strides towards the hundred-crore club. The film garnered a massive boost on Saturday with earnings of Rs. 38.14 crore, lifting the total collection to an impressive Rs. 67.31 crore. Sharing the latest numbers, trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicted an easy hundred-crore-plus business for the action entertainer over the weekend.
Race 3’s Day 2 collection has surpassed that of Baaghi 2 (Rs. 20. 40 crore), Padmaavat (Rs. 32 crore) and Avengers: Infinity War (a little above Rs. 30 crore), emerging as the biggest opening weekend grosser of 2018.
