R Madhavan reacts to box office failure of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’

18 August, 2022 (New Delhi): Aamir Khan’s most recent film Laal Singh Chaddha has not performed very well at the box office. In its first six days of release, the high budget movie which also stars Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya failed to gross more than 50 crore. The latest movie in a long line of Bollywood productions that has recently performed poorly at the box office. R Madhavan talked about the reason behind its failure on the box office.

Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ did not do as well as expected at the box office. In such a situation, now actor R Madhavan has given his opinion. He recently spoke about the boycott at the teaser launch of ‘Dhoka – Round the Corner’. When Madhavan was asked at the event that a big movie like Aamir’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ did not do well in the theatres, what would you like to say on this? On this question, R Madhavan said, ‘First of all, if we had known this, we would have made all the hit films. No one thinks that he is making the flop film. Aamir has also worked as hard for this movie as the actor of a hit film does. Everyone’s aim is the same to make good films that the audience likes .’

R Madhvan further explained why Hindi films are not running now. He said that after Covid-19, now people’s choice has completely changed. Now we want people to watch our films, so to show our films, we have to make such films which are a little progressive and people are interested in it. Talking about the workfront, the actor will next be seen in his upcoming thriller ‘Dhokha – Round D Corner‘ which  is directed by Kookie Gulati and stars Darshan Kumaar, Aparshakti Khurana and Khushalii Kumar in pivotal roles.
