Menu, guests, venue: Everything about Virushka’s Delhi Reception
Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy earlier this month, are all set to host their first reception in the national capital today. The celebrity couple, who also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to invite him for the event, will host a reception which is supposed to be another private affair to be mostly attended by their relatives.
Virat and Anushka arrived in Delhi on Tuesday as the photos of the couple, along with Virat’s sister Bhavna, at Virat’s house in the capital, surfaced online a few hours after they landed at the airport. At the reception, the who’s who of Virat and Anushka’s family will be present. The Indian cricket team skipper’s family members include his mother Saroj Kohli, sister Bhavna, brother-in-law Sanjay Dhingra, brother Vikas and sister-in-law Chetna Kohli, as well as his nieces and nephews Aryaveer, Mehek and Ayush.
The guests are supposed to have arrived for the event in the national capital and an invitation schedule has also been shared on social media by one of Anushka’s fan pages on Twitter.
“A warm welcome to Anushka and Virat’s wedding reception to be held at The Taj Palace, Delhi on 21 December 2017. We are delighted to have you with us and hope you have a wonderful time, taking back pleasant memories,” it read.
The Shaadi Squad, which planned out the couple’s private affair in Tuscany earlier this month, will also look after the reception festivities.
“The Shaadi Squad team will be available at all times to assist you in anything that you may require, please do feel free to get in touch with us should you have any queries,” the invitation added.
Here’s how the events have been planned for the day:
Breakfast: 7:30 am to 10 am
Lunch: 12 pm to 2:30 pm
Dinner: 7 pm – 11: 30 pm

Virat and Anushka reached Delhi on Tuesday. Photos of the couple, along with Virat’s sister Bhavna, at Virat’s house in the capital, surfaced online a few hours after they landed in the country.
Kohli and Anushka will host another reception in Mumbai on December 26 – which will be attended by the couple’s friends from cricket and Bollywood industry.
