Duty above relationship! Assam Cop Arrests Fiancé On Fraud Charges.

May 6, 2022 (New Delhi): It is said that the duty of the uniform is paramount and this lady policeman proved this to be true. In fact, the Assam Police has arrested a swindler who duped many people on the pretext of job in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The man, named Rana Pogag, was arrested by his fiancee Junmoni Rabha, a policeman in Nagaon, who had filed an FIR against him.

According to the NDTV report, Pogag had falsely claimed that he was working with ONGC in Assam. He used to ask people for money in the name of getting a job in the company. According to the police, Pogag allegedly duped people of crores of rupees. He introduced himself to the sub-inspector Junmoni Rabha of Nagaon district of Assam by posing as a public relations officer. The two got engaged in October last year and were to get married in November.

But as soon as Junmoni Rabha came to know that he was a thug, they immediately lodged an FIR against him. Rabha told the media, “I am grateful to the three people who came to me with information about him (Rana Pogag) how big a fraud he is. They have opened my eyes.”

Junmoni Rabha of Assam Police came into limelight in January when she refused to support BJP supporters after she was found violating the law during a call with Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuiyan.
