Don’t like another actor from the industry, Telugu actress Meera Chopra becomes victim to rape threats and social media trolls

On Tuesday, Indian actress Meera Chopra was last seen as she was being threatened of rape, death and acid attack.

Meera Chopra, second cousin of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, is the trending topic on the social media as recently she has been the victim of a social media trolling as actor Jr NTR’s fans created a hate campaign against her.

She had worked in a few Telugu films. On Tuesday she did a chat session with her fans on twitter. During this chat session, she was asked to mention her favorite actor in Telugu cinema and she was asked to describe Jr NTR in one word to which she said, ”I don’t know him. I’m not his fan”. Another fan of Jr NTR said if she would have watched any of his films she would have become his fan. Following which, her frank reply to this statement saying, “thank you but not interested” pushed her to being the victim of social media trolling and rape threats.

She was shocked by the tweets and tagged Jr NTR and said “I don’t know that I’ll be called a bitch, whore and a porn star just because I like @urstrulymahesh more than you. And send my parents such wishes. Do you really feel successful with these fan following?”

It was after this tweet when people came ahead inMeera’s support and took to their social accounts to support the actress.

As a reaction to the situation, singer-dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripaada came out in her support. She asked Meera to submit the abusive screenshots and write a letter to The National Commission for Women (NCW).
